From continental breakfasts and quick beverage breaks, to hearty sandwich platters and satisfying salads for working lunches, you can count on UCLA Conferences & Catering for convenience and on-time delivery. When you finalize your catering delivery, we will provide you with an Event Order that covers the specific details, as well as your rights and responsibilities. In the meantime, please see the information below for important things to know as we work together to plan your event.

Policies for Catering Deliveries

Parking & Loading Fees for Catering Deliveries

To ensure a successful catering delivery, we ask that you provide building access and/or an unlocked delivery location at least 30 minutes prior to your event start time as shown on your Event Order. To guarantee on-time delivery, please provide your Sales Manager adequate parking information and loading arrangements prior to your event. Please note that we charge a nominal delivery fee, in the event there is no parking or loading area available. If there is no parking available, you will be charged an attendant fee to stay with the delivery vehicle while the your food is being brought into your location.

Table & Linen Fees for Catering Deliveries

Please note that UCLA Conferences & Catering does not provide tables for delivery orders. We ask that you arrange for table setup or adequate counter space to be made available 30 minutes prior to your event start time. In an effort to be sustainable, table linens are not included with standard delivery orders. For your convenience, we offer rentable linens at a cost of $6.25 per standard table cover (six-foot table). Alternatively, we offer eco-friendly, disposable linens at $3.50 per six-foot table cover. China service is not available on deliveries.

Equipment Handling for Catering Deliveries

We ask that you take care to ensure that all UCLA Conferences & Catering property and equipment dropped off at your event/delivery site are safeguarded from any damage, misuse or theft. Any lost, stolen or damaged equipment is subject to additional fees (replacement value) and will be charged to your master bill for your event.

County Health Code Regulations

In compliance with county health code regulations, perishable food items can only be presented for a maximum of four hours, to safeguard against food borne illness. In addition, due to inventory controls, UCLA Conferences & Catering equipment must be picked up within a four-hour period of your event start time. It is our policy to pick up any equipment on loan for your delivery order within a one-hour window following your event end time, as indicated on your Event Order.

Other Policies for Catering Deliveries

  • UCLA Conferences & Catering is not responsible for any clean-up after an event. We only pick up the equipment on loan, but do not clean the space or area.
  • For any deliveries to outdoor or public areas, please ensure that a department representative is present to receive the delivery order and provide supervision prior to and during the event.
  • Adequate loading and/or parking must be available for all campus and Westwood deliveries.
  • A $50 service fee will be assessed for any delivery without adequate loading, parking or elevator accessibility.
  • For any large delivery set-ups, additional Delivery Assistants may be required as determined by your Sales Manager at a flat rate of $25 per assistant.
